Workshops

Join the fun at the Redwood Valley Outdoor Education Project (RVOEP)! An array of RVOEP workshops opens the opportunity to learn about the world of nature to the entire community.

The RVOEP is located at 8301 Pinecrest Drive in Redwood Valley. Pinecrest Drive begins directly across from the old Redwood Valley Elementary School on School Way. The RVOEP is about ¼ mile up Pinecrest Drive on the left (look for the RVOEP sign). Call 707-489-0227 for more information.

2019-2020 WORKSHOPS

Annual Fall Mushroom Workshop
TBD

Mark Albert and Dave Bengston will guide us through the fascinating world of mushrooms! Come learn about the essential role that fungus plays in an Oak Woodland ecosystem and meet some of our local mushrooms. Mark and Dave collect an array of mushrooms to share and participants will have the opportunity to explore the mixed woodlands at the RVOEP to see what mushrooms are up. Beginning mushroom enthusiasts and veterans should find this a stimulating experience.

Pre-registration is not required. The workshop is free, but all donations will benefit the RVOEP.

Please carpool, as parking is limited. The RVOEP is located at 8301 Pinecrest Drive in Redwood Valley. Pinecrest Drive begins directly across from the Redwood Valley Elementary School on School Way.

Participants are encouraged to dress warmly and bring a cup for hot tea.
